RIdge track club (summer Track)
Summer Track & Field Opportunities (RIDGE Track Club)
Practices: Practice times and dates may vary depending on activities, coaching conflicts, etc. Through the end of the school year, the plan is to conduct practices after school (from 2:45 to between 5:15ish).
o June 3rd – 8th: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (Meet)
o June 10th – 15th: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (Meet)
o June 17th – 23rd: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fri/Sat/Sun (Meet)
Meet Schedule: Can be found by searching “Ridge Track Club” on athletic.net, or by visiting the following link: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/School.aspx?SchoolID=78308. Some information about each meet can be found on that website, but I will pass on more specific information as we get closer to each date. There are costs associated with each meet.
USATF Membership & Age Verification: A current 2019 USATF membership is required of all athletes that wish to compete over the summer. Before registering for events an athlete must obtain a membership number at http://www.usatf.org/ membership. Cost is $20. Once a USATF membership has been purchased, athletes must then provide proof of age (birth certificate, passport, driver’s license) to the membership chairman, Tracy Silva, pnamember@comcast.net. You may also mail proof of age to: Tracy Silva, 2280 NW Boulder Way, Issaquah, WA 98027. Please allow sufficient time for mailing.
o Athletes should be able to register using the club name (Ridge Track Club) or Club ID# (36-0335). If it asks for a four digit number, use 0335 only, as 36 is the association number. Our association is the Pacific Northwest Association, which covers Western Washington.
o If for some reason the club does not appear, leave it blank to register as an “unattached” athlete, and we can manually add you to the RIDGE Track Club roster.
Transportation: Transportation is the responsibility of the athlete/family.
Uniform: Athletes will compete in black spandex bottoms and can purchase a club uniform top ($40)
Cost:
o USATF Membership: $20
o Meet Entry Fees: Approx. $100
o Team Uniform Top: $40
o There are a variety of other costs associated with maintaining a track and field club team. Some of these costs include USATF registration, coaching background checks, certification, coaching travel, equipment, website maintenance etc. As we look to provide summer competition opportunities for athletes, we will not be charging a set amount for the 2019 summer season. That being said, we would appreciate any donations that help to offset costs that are currently being covered by our coaching staff. Similar high school clubs charge between $150 and $400 for summer membership.

o Cost: $8 per event

o Gate Admission: $5 adults and children over 5; children 5 & under free
o Top 8 in Each Age Group Advance to Regional Meet
USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Championships (July 4-7)
o Cost: $9 Per Event; $22 for Combined Events
o Mt. Tahoma High School
o Gate Admission: $5 adults and children over 5; children 5 & under free
